The Why

Runners will trail along the streets of San Juan, the oldest city under the United States Flag!

San Juan has a rich history that offers tourists a multitude of attractions, like the El Morro Fortress, a designated National Historic Site. And, if you want to explore outside the city, the El Yunque Rainforest, or Las Cabezas de San Juan Reservoir, provide you with guided tours, while enjoying the great outdoors!

The Experience

San Juan is very diverse, due to its size and all the cultural influences received during its existence. The oldest part of the city, nown as Old San Juan, mostly features the influence of Spanish architecture. This part of the city is comprised by a network of- settedroads usually surrounded by ancient, two-storied houses built on masonry. Old San Juan also features several public squares, like the Plaza de Armas, located in front of San Juan City Hall; and cathedrals, like the Cathedral of San Juan Bautista. The architecture is more varied in other districts of the city. The district of Santurce features a lot of influence from art deco, while the districts of Hato Rey

The Community

Puerto Rico Half Marathon® & 10K is committed to improve the quality of lives of the community it impacts. As part of our efforts to help others maintain a healthy lifestyle, we have partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training Program, and the St. Jude Research Hospital St. Jude Heroes. Both focus on providing patient services to the cancer stricken community.
